Religion in History
One of the chief challenges in something like the Elementary Humanities Program is figuring out how to deal with religion. On the one hand, we want very much to avoid the appearance that events in Judeo-Christian history are somehow a second level truth, not worthy of being discussed in a history book. On the other hand, I really don't like the "history as providence" approach in which the author attempts to define what exactly God must be trying to do. The above-linked piece lays out our basic stance.
